JANET PARKER LAIRD – CERAMIC ARTIST (POOLE POTTERY, DELPHIS STUDIO 1969-1974)
Janet started her career in art and design at Bournemouth Art College in the mid 60’s. After leaving college she started work at Poole Pottery, in the Delphis Studio spending valuable time learning all aspects within the pottery and after a short time was promoted to supervisor to the other artists. Janet now works from her garden studio near Blandford producing various ranges to supply galleries and for individual commission.
Janet specialises in vibrant colours and beautiful glazes in a wide range of shapes and sizes. She gets her inspiration from a wide variety of sources and is working on a range of pieces following her recent visit to the North Island of New Zealand.
