Sue Lansbury has lived most of her life in Dorset and now lives and works in the Isle of Purbeck. She has an Honours degree in Fine Art (Sculpture) and is a qualified teacher of Art and Design, later becoming a head teacher in the fields of Mental Health and Special Eductional Needs. She now devotes her time to her painting and sculpture. At the heart of Sue’s work is an exploration of our symbiotic relationship with the landscape, the effect of time and tide, the dynamic nature of change and impermanence and the way the passage of time shows in the strata on which we stand. She works with stone, clay, silver, bronze, wood and paint, often combining media within one piece.
Sue exhibits both locally and nationally and has been selected for the ING Discerning Eye Exhibition in London on several occasions.
